Grades 3/4

Mrs. Almenas

Mrs. Brenda Almenas de Scott was born and raised in Puerto Rico, attending Catholic schools run by Spaniard clergy throughout her formation. She began college in Puerto Rico, later transferring to the College of Notre Dame of Maryland were she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has taught Spanish in Washington and Alaska -- in rural, urban, private and public school settings. Her hobbies are photography and handicrafts, both of which come in handy with her busy, creative students. We are thrilled to to have Mrs. Almenas' passion for details and excellence leading our third and fourth graders! She also directs our afterschool Spanish program, a perennial favorite for all ages.
